Dr. David Andros was born and raised here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended Washington & Jefferson College and graduated with honors in 1979 with a BS in biology/physiology. Following this he pursued his postgraduate education at Temple University and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1983. Dr. Andros then continued his dental education at the Misch International Implant Institution where he completed a 20 month program dedicated to advanced implant and prosthetic education.

Dr. Andros also attended the University of Pittsburgh Dental School for a one year program in dental anesthesiology and is state certified for IV anesthesia. He has been certified for use of the original Brandemark Implant System as well as other major implant systems including Zimmer, Dentsply, Biohorizons, Calcitec and Sterioss. Additionally, the doctor has received certification from the University of Miami School of Dentistry for use of the Harvest Platelet Rich Plasma technology and is certified for the use of laser procedures.

In total, the doctor has taken thousands of hours of implant and cosmetic education. He has received training from top cosmetic dentists including Dr. David Hornbrook, Dr. Larry Rosenthal, Dr. Ross Nash, Dr. John Kois, Dr. Bill Dorfman (from Extreme Makeover), Dr. Bill Dixon from The Las Vegas Institute for Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Peter Dawson from the Panky Institute and many other well know restorative dentists as well as training at the OBI Institute for Bioesthetic Dentistry.

Dr. Andros is a member of The International Congress of Oral Implantologists, The American College of Oral Implantology, The American Society of Osseointegration, The American Academy of Implant Dentistry and The International Academy of Comprehensive Aesthetics.

He received a fellowship award in the ICOI (The International Congress of Oral Implantologists) as well as his most prestigious honor, Diplomat in the ICOI, which represents only 2% of all Implant Dentists in the world.

Dr. David Andros is committed to advancing his education each year by attending seminars and training courses for the most advanced dental technology. He is also sought out by other dentists for consulting and advanced implant and cosmetic training.
